Where Does All That Rainwater Go? Why Gutters Matter in Florida
One inch of rain on a home with a 2,000-square-foot roof footprint can mean nearly 1,250 gallons of water coming off that roof. During a heavy rainstorm at one of my Largo listings, a funny moment at a downspout turned into a useful reminder about how much water our Tampa Bay homes have to manage. Keeping gutters clear matters, but that’s only half the job. Where the water goes once it reaches the ground matters, too.
